Automatic Gearbox Servicing – Market Rasen

At Parkview we are pleased to be able to offer automatic gearbox servicing at our workshop in Market Rasen, a specialist service not provided by many garages.

It’s only recently that vehicle manufacturers have started to recommend servicing automatic gearboxes and changing the automatic transmission fluid. There are several benefits of having your automatic gearbox regularly serviced:

• It’s recommended that the gearbox oil is changed every 60,000 miles as part of routine maintenance and also because many automatic gearbox faults can be corrected by a change of oil, thereby avoiding issues and costly repairs down the line.
• Your automatic transmission is made up of multiple parts and regular servicing ensures that they are all in good order and working in symphony with each other.
• You’ll save money in the long run – gearboxes are so intricate, there’s potential for lots to go wrong or to wear out, having your gearbox serviced will pick up any issues before they get to the serious, costly stage
• It’s worth having your automatic gearbox serviced regularly, even if only for your safety – it could appear to be working perfectly but you certainly don’t want a sudden gearbox failure when you’re driving along at speed. It will certainly ruin your day and could be dangerous.

If you’re not sure if your automatic gearbox is due a service or if you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to get in touch with our team.
